Cross-country skiing : Johannes Hoesflot Klæbo goes down in history
Where will it end? Day after day, title after title, Johannes Hoesflot Klæbo continues to push back the boundaries of his sport and write his own legend. On Wednesday 18 February, on the sprint team of the Milan/Cortina 2026 Olympic Games, the Norwegian won another Olympic title alongsideEinar Hedegart on the Tesero track (Italy).
Another title, the tenth of his Olympic career. A staggering figure. But above all, the fifth in this Italian edition alone, confirming his total domination of these Games.

Johannes Hoesflot Klæbo joins Eric Heiden in winning five titles at the same Olympic Games. The American skater achieved this feat at the 1980 Olympic Games in Lake Placid (USA), winning all five individual events on the programme. Forty-six years later, the Norwegian equalled this exceptional performance and added his name to the top of the history books.
On Saturday 21 February, Johannes Hoesflot Klæbo has a date with destiny and, perhaps, a new chapter in history. Competing in the 50-kilometre classic, the most prestigious event in cross-country skiing, he could complete an unprecedented Grand Slam with six titles in six races at the same Olympic Games. A feat he already achieved last winter at the World Championships in Trondheim (Norway).
