17.18. The French team selections for the skateboard team sprints, on the programme this Wednesday at the Milan/Cortina Olympic Games and contested on the Tesero track (Italy), have just been announced.
The French staff have made a strong choice by deciding to pair the man in form at the moment, Mathis Desloges, with Jules Chappaz. It’s a decision reminiscent of the one taken at the 2018 Olympic Games in Pyeongchang (South Korea), when Maurice Manificat and Richard Jouve lined up together, winning a superb bronze medal. Four years later, in Beijing in 2022, Hugo Lapalus and Richard Jouve were also paired up.
In the women’s category, Léonie Perry and Mélissa Gal have been selected. The duo took seventh place in this format last month at the World Cup stage in Goms, Switzerland.
