18:20. On Monday, France Télévisions released a summary of its audience figures for the first week of the Milan/Cortina 2026 Olympic Games. Of the four peaks measured, three concerned Nordic skiing.
Behind the 6 million people who tuned in to France 3 to watch Guillaume Cizeron and Laurence Fournier Beaudry win the figure skating title, 5.4 million viewers tuned in to France 2 for the end of the women’s biathlon pursuit, won by Lisa Vittozzi.
Also on Sunday, no fewer than 5 million people watched the historic silver medal won by the French cross-country skiers, while 4.8 million French watched the sprint medals won by Océane Michelon and Lou Jeanmonnot on Saturday.
Finally, the Olympic sprint title won by Quentin Fillon-Maillet on Friday afternoon drew 2.3 million spectators, with a peak of 2.9 million, while Emilien Jacquelin’s bronze in the pursuit on Sunday lunchtime was watched by 3.6 million French people.
