Biathlon: seven medals already for Les Bleus in Antholz
After five of the eleven races on the programme, the French Olympic biathlon team competing in the Milan/Cortina 2026 Olympic Games has already won a whopping seven medals.
First there was gold for the mixed relay (Eric Perrot, Quentin Fillon-Maillet, Lou Jeanmonnot, Julia Simon), silver for Eric Perrot in the men’s individual, gold and silver for Julia Simon and Lou Jeanmonnot in the women’s individual, then gold for Quentin Fillon-Mailletin the men’s sprint. On Saturday afternoon, Océane Michelon (silver) and Lou Jeanmonnot (bronze) added two more awards to their impressive haul.
With the pursuit, relay and mass start events still to be contested, France has already equalled its all-time record for biathlon medals won at a single Olympic Games. Until the end of next week, the tally should continue to climb.
