Biathlon: a mixed relay to open the Milan/Cortina 2026 Olympic Games
This Sunday, the biathlon events of the Milan/Cortina 2026 Olympic Games kick off in Antholz (Italy) with the mixed relay. The start of this first race of the fortnight is at 2.05pm.
With bib number 1, France will be represented by Eric Perrot, Quentin Fillon-Maillet, Lou Jeanmonnot and Julia Simon. Against them, Les Bleus will have to contend with a number of formidable opponents. First there will be Italy (Tommaso Giacomel, Lukas Hofer, Dorothea Wierer, Lisa Vittozzi), who will be aiming for the supreme title on home soil.

The Czech Republic(Vitezslav Hornig, Michal Krcmar, Tereza Vobornikova, Marketa Davidova), Norway(Martin Uldal, Vetle Sjaastad Christiansen, Karoline Knotten, Maren Kirkeeide), the United States(Maxime Germain, Campbell Wright, Deedra Irwin, Margie Freed), Sweden(Sebastian Samuelsson, Martin Ponsiluoma, Anna Magnusson, Hanna Oeberg) and Germany(Justus Strelow, Philipp Nawrath, Vanessa Voigt, Franziska Preuss) will also be serious contenders.
Finland with Suvi Minkkinen, Austria with Simon Eder, Slovakia with Paulina Batovska Fialkova and Anastasiya Kuzmina, Switzerland withAmy Baserga, Ukraine with Dmytro Pidruchnyi, Estonia with Regina Ermits and Belgium with Florent Claude and Maya Cloetens could also do well.
