17:40. Calle Halfvarsson will be at the start of the Olympic relay. The 36-year-old Swedish cross-country skier has been included in the line-up unveiled by the coaching staff, confirming his place in the quartet set to defend Sweden’s colours.
Experienced and used to major events, he will bring his solidity in classic style and his ability to manage the first few kilometres, which are often decisive in a relay.
Alongside him will be Johan Haeggstroem, first relay, William Poromaa and Edvin Anger, both skating. However, Gustaf Berglund and Truls Gisselman are not in the squad.
