Ski jumping: Slovenia comes out on top
As expected, the five major ski jumping nations were on hand on Tuesday evening for the mixed team competition at the Milan/Cortina 2026 Olympic Games. Slovenia, Japan, Norway, Austria and Germany all wanted to win a medal.
After the first run, Slovenia was well in the lead… almost 10 points ahead of Japan and more than 15 ahead of Norway. Behind them, Austria and Germany were still dreaming of a medal, but big jumps by Norwegians Kristoffer Eriksen Sundal and Eirin Maria Kvandal put them in a poor position.

The unbeatable quartet of Domen and Nika Prevc, Nika Vodan and Anze Lanisek came out on top to win the gold that the Prevc siblings had been missing on the small hill.

Behind them, after a high-flying battle, Norway (Anna Odine Stroem, Kristoffer Eriksen Sundal, Eirin Maria Kvandal, Marius Lindvik) took an unexpected silver ahead of Japan (Nozomi Maruyama, Ryoyu Kobayashi, Sara Takanashi, Ren Nikaido). Germany and Austria, the big disappointments of the day, were fourth and fifth respectively.
Les Bleus miss out on the final by a whisker
Unfortunately, despite the best efforts of the French quartet, it was not to be in the final heat, the main objective for Les Bleus. Emma Chervet, Enzo Milesi, Joséphine Pagnier and Valentin Foubert finished ninth.

They will once again be able to defend France’s colours in the big hill events and the men’s super team.
