Last May, we learned that the contract between Falun (Sweden) and the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) for the 2027 Nordic World Ski Championships had not been signed. “We hope to be successful soon. I can’t give an exact date, but we’re working on it. There’s nothing dramatic,” reassured a Swedish ski official at the time.
This Tuesday afternoon, theSwedish Ski Association announced that the signatures had been affixed. “It’s great that we’ve reached this point and that there’s been good dialogue on the agreement. We are now moving forward with all the strength we need to create unforgettable World Championships in every dimension,” enthused Jonas Peterson, head of Falun 2027.
