Cross-country skiing : skate mass-starts to round off the weekend
This Sunday, the cross-country skiers in the 20-kilometre mass-start skate will bring the first weekend of competitions in the 2024/2025 edition to a close in Ruka ( Finland ) . This time it will be the men who will be the first to set off at 9.30 am.

At the head of the queue, Johannes Hoesflot Klæbo will start with the yellow number 1 bib, ahead of this winter’s first winner, Finland’s Iivo Niskanen. In the French clan, Hugo Lapalus will wear number 9, Jules Lapierre number 18, Jules Chappaz number 22, Théo Schely number 27 and Richard Jouve number 30. Youngsters Rémi Bourdin and Mathis Desloges will wear 37 and 45.

In the women’s race, Therese Johaug will start in number 1 at 11.25am in theabsence of Frida Karlsson, who will not be taking part in this final race of the weekend. As for the French women, Delphine Claudel will start in sixteenth position, Flora Dolci in twentieth, Juliette Ducordeau in thirty-ninth, while Maëlle Veyre and Léna Quintin will close the race with bibs 43 and 47.
