Biathlon: off to Kontiolahti for Les Bleus
On Tuesday 26 November, the French biathletes selected for the World Cup in Kontiolahti (Finland), the first stage of the 2024/2025 season, set off for Finland.
From Geneva (Switzerland), Fabien Claude, Quentin Fillon-Maillet, Emilien Jacquelin, Julia Simon, Lou Jeanmonnot, Jeanne Richard, Justine Braisaz-Bouchet, Gilonne Guigonnat, Sophie Chauveau and Océane Michelon will first join Eric Perrot in Helsinki (Finland). After staying in Sjusjøen (Norway) for the last few days following the opening races, he will travel to the Finnish capital via Oslo (Norway).

The end of this day in transport will be marked by a final flight between Helsinki and Joensuu (Finland). Kontiolahti (Finland) will then be just twenty minutes away by car.
“We’ll be arriving in the evening, Simon Fourcade, the men’s group fitness coach, explained to Nordic Magazine. The first day of training will be on Wednesday, with a slightly tough session to start with, because the races won’t be until three days later, on Saturday, with the mixed relays.”
