Biathlon: France completes an historic winter
The international biathlon season came to a close on Sunday 23 March with the mass-starts of the World Cup finals in Oslo-Holmenkollen (Norway). This freshly completed 2024/2025 season has been a huge success for the French team.
In 70 races contested, France achieved an impressive total of 66 podium finishes, including 29 victories. The record of 52 podium finishes and 22 victories, set last winter, has now been surpassed. At the end of this historic season, Les Bleus also collected a fine crop of crystal globes.

Although Lou Jeanmonnot lost out on the overall women’s title on the wire in abracadabratic conditions known to all, the Doubiste native won the two smaller individual and pursuit titles. OcéaneMichelon, for her part, lifted the trophy for the best U23. Finally, as a team, the French team made a clean sweep, winning the men’s and women’s globes in the relay and the nations’ cup.
To top it all off, Les Bleus were not to be outdone in February at the world championships in Lenzerheide (Switzerland), where they dominated the medal table with 13 medals, including 6 golds.
