Biathlon: Amandine Mengin joins a federal squad for the first time
It comes as no surprise to see Amandine Mengin from the Vosges included on the French B biathlon team list for the 2025/2026 training season. Having enjoyed an exceptional winter in recent months, including her first IBU Cup victories and a World Cup appearance, the 20-year-old from Bresse has amply earned her place.

Logic may have been respected, but the fact remains that this selection is an important step in Amandine Mengin’s career.
“Naturally, I’m very happy to be joining a federal group for the first time, especially in B, she told Nordic Magazine. I’m not worried at all because we’re going to be doing the same things I’ve been doing, i.e. training! We’ve got a great group, so it’s going to be really cool and a great summer of preparation. It’s already the first step in the big league because it means that, in a way, we’ve already been spotted.”
The end of four wonderful years with the Massif des Vosges committee
So the biathlete from La Bresse (Vosges) will have to leave her cocoon of the Massif des Vosges committee.
“It’s finito, Amandine Mengin sums up with a smile. I haven’t forgotten the great years I spent there, and that won’t stop me from coming back to do short sessions. I’m so happy to have worked with so many different people over the last four years. I’d like to thank everyone! I’ve done a great job with each and every one of them and each and every one of them has given me a little something. I’ll never forget that.”

From now on, Amandine Mengin will be working under Baptiste Desthieux and Julien Robert to continue her progress. “I have no doubt that we’re going to do some very, very good work together,” she promises.
