Biathlon: Johanna Skottheim returns to the national team
Johanna Skottheim has returned to the list of Swedes selected for the national A biathlon team for the 2025/2026 training season.
Left out of the group a year ago after two disappointing seasons, the biathlete, who will celebrate her thirty-first birthday at the end of May, picked up the gauntlet again last winter, finishing fifth in the individual race in Ruhpolding (Germany) and winning the relay in Antholz (Italy). All performances that convinced the staff to put their faith in him again.

“It’s a great feeling, she enthused on Monday in the columns of SVT Sport. I hope and believe that it will be very good for me compared to last year. It will be fun to be back in a group!” A group, what’s more, made up of some of the best biathletes in the world, starting with the Oeberg sisters.
During his difficult years, Johannes Skottheim had to deal with injuries, overtraining and depression. “I don’t think people understand how difficult it was for me. I’m proud to have made it and I’m very happy with where I am now,” she says.
