Biathlon: World Cup debut this winter for Anastasiya Kuzmina
Paulina Batovska Fialkova is conspicuously absent from theSlovak Biathlon Association ‘s squad for the World Cup in Oberhof (Germany). After a magnificent podium finish in the mass-start at Le Grand-Bornand (Haute-Savoie) before Christmas and currently twenty-second overall, she has decided to skip the Thuringia stage.
As her Federation tells Nordic Magazine, she is currently training in Martell-Val Martello (Italy). “This autumn, she was ill and missed part of her training sessions, which she has decided to make up at the beginning of January”, it adds.

Slovakia will be represented in Oberhof by Ema Kapustova, Maria Remenova, Anastasiya Kuzmina, selected for the World Cup for the first time this winter, Damian Cesnek, Tomas Sklenarik and Artur Ischakov.
