Biathlon: another medal for France at the European junior championships
On Wednesday, during the individual event at the European Junior Biathlon Championships in Altenberg (Germany), Camille Grataloup-Manissolle came within a tenth of a second of the bronze medal. After winning silver in the mixed relay on Friday, this time he made it onto the podium in the sprint held in Saxony on Saturday morning.

Starting at the very beginning of the race – with bib number 3 out of 136 entered – the biathlete from Dauphiné delivered a solid performance. With a 9/10 against the targets and good management on the cross-country skis, he finished very strongly, enabling him to overtake two rivals between the exit from the prone shot and the finish line.

Camille Grataloup-Manissolle won bronze, his first individual international medal. In front of him were two Germans, on fire at home: Fabian Kaskel (10/10), faster than him by 13 sec 9 and crowned in front of his home crowd, andElias Seidl (9/10), silver at 2 sec 2.

At the foot of the podium at the flower ceremony were Switzerland’s Matthias Riebli (9/10), Ukraine’s Serhii Suprun (9/10) and Germany’s Linus Kesper (7/10). Greenland’s Sondre Slettemark was eighth (8/10) and Léo Carlier tenth (9/10).
