Biathlon: preparation begins for Les Bleus on 12 May
As the French biathlon team’s training groups for the 2025/2026 season were unveiled on Tuesday, the start of the new season approaches for Les Bleus. While it is traditionally on 1 May that the individual athletes return to serious sessions, the first federal training camp is just around the corner.
The Tricolores will be in Prémanon (Jura) on Monday 12 May for their first three-day gathering.

“It will be a course attended by all the physical trainers and coaches, Stéphane Bouthiaux, director of the French biathlon teams, tells Nordic Magazine. It will focus on prophylaxis [all the measures to be taken to prevent injuries, editor’s note] to determine the training process for the summer based on the individual characteristics of each person, and any physical problems that need to be sorted out. It’s very important.”
A two-week course in Antholz in September
Then, from 25 to 30 May, the French national team will gather on the Giens peninsula (Var) for the CNOSF’s pre-Olympic gathering.
Other preparatory courses will include visits to Prémanon in June, and a long two-week gathering in Antholz (Italy), the venue for the next Olympic Games, in September. The Summer Tour competitions in Arçon (Doubs) will follow on from these.

The women will then return to the snow in Ramsau (Austria) in October, while the boys will be in Font-Romeu (Pyrénées-Orientales) at the same time.
