Biathlon: Les Bleues on fire in Antholz
The first time Lou Jeanmonnot won a sprint on the World Cup circuit – in December 2023 in Östersund (Sweden) – she went on to win the pursuit. The final sprint in Jämtland was a magnificent victory over Franziska Preuss.
This weekend, at the Antholz (Italy) venue, which will become an Olympic venue in February 2026, the Doubiste racer did it again. A magnificent winner of the sprint on Thursday afternoon, she put in another demonstration in the pursuit on Saturday lunchtime.

Lou Jeanmonnot set off alone in the lead at the gun and was consistently faster than her rivals on the cross-country track. Equally (very) precise on the mats of the sun-drenched Südtirol Arena, the Franc-Comtoise ran a solo race, winning at 19/20.
A sixth victory this winter
In doing so, she won for the tenth time in her career and the sixth time this winter, equalling the record held jointly by Justine Braisaz-Bouchet and Marie Dorin-Habert. A series of victories demonstrating, if proof were needed, that Lou Jeanmonnot is the boss of the circuit. In fact, at timesthe pursuit resembled the French championships, with the tricoloured gold jumpsuitsdominating the first places.

Julia Simon, back on track with a score of 20/20, climbed from fifth to second place, while Jeanne Richard (20/20) played for the podium in the final round against Franziska Preuss (19/20). More experienced and faster on the final climb of the course, the German finally finished third. Océane Michelon (19/20) was fifth ahead of Selina Grotian (18/20).
The top 10 was completed by Amy Baserga (19/20), Aita Gasparin (19/20), Lotte Lie (20/20) and Justine Braisaz-Bouchet (16/20). Paula Botet (16/20) is thirty-sixth.
