Biathlon: an open track at Sjusjøen
On the morning of Friday 1 November, the first cross-country ski run in the Sjusjøen Nordic ski area (Norway) opened its doors. The 3.5km loop was formed from snow saved from last winter using the snowfarming technique.
Although no snowflakes are expected in the coming days, temperatures will be well below zero for at least the next week. Ideal conditions for hosting the French men’s biathlon team, who will be travelling to Norway on Tuesday 5 November.
Les Bleus will be on site until 17 November and, at the end of the course, will take part in the Norwegian opening races (sprint and mass-start) organised at the same venue.
