Biathlon: Eight Belgians in Östersund
As the final training camp in the Belgian national team’s preparations drew to a close on Sunday with the end of the races in Geilo (Norway), the squad selected for the first World Cup of the Olympic season was revealed in a press release.
On the men’s side, it was César Beauvais and Julien Petitjacques who most convinced the staff to accompany Florent Claude and Thierry Langer to Sweden.

Lotte Lie, third in Norway, Maya Cloetens, who was in the running in the mass-start, Eve Bouvard and Marisa Emonts have been included in the women’s team.
The IBU Cup line-up includes Marek Mackels, Sam Parmantier, Marine Debloem, Lea Gross and Rieke de Maeyer, who took part in the Finnish selections in Kontiolahti (Finland) last weekend.
