Biathlon: start of the Bessans selections this Thursday with a sprint
It’s time for the French biathletes to get back into the swing of things. This Thursday morning, from 9.50am, the first sprint of the FFS selections in Bessans (Savoie) will take place on the snow of Haute Maurienne Vanoise.
For this competition, which opens the week of selections for the first two IBU Cup of the season, it is the men who will open the hostilities. Then, from 10.20am, the women will take to the track.
For this first sprint, Julia Simon, Lou Jeanmonnot, Jeanne Richard, Justine Braisaz-Bouchet, Gilonne Guigonnat, Sophie Chauveau and Océane Michelon, who will be starting their winter in the World Cup, will not be at the start, but will be taking part in the weekend’s races.
Caroline Colombo is also absent, having told Nordic Magazine in recent days that she was still feeling the symptoms of the neuropathy she contracted at the end of summer 2023. Emilien Claude, Oscar Lombardot, who is in Norway with Group A, and Anaëlle Bondoux are also absent, as all three are pre-qualified for the start of the IBU Cup.
