Biathlon: Léo Carlier back in the running for the IBU Cup
A few minutes after Justine Braisaz-Bouchet ‘s success in the women’s race, the boys took part in their mass-start of the FFS biathlon selections in Bessans (Savoie) on Sunday morning.
Having had great difficulty on Saturday in the sprint, finishing in fourteenth place at 6/10, Léo Carlier from the Franc-Comté region picked up the gauntlet in this head-to-head race.

The reigning World Youth Champion in the exercise, he shot a perfect 20/20 to claim a solitary victory. With this victory, the biathlete in the Excellence 2030 group is fully back in the running for the IBU Cup.

On the day’s podium, he was joined by Valentin Lejeune (17/20) from the Vosges and Damien Le vet (18/20) from Bornand, who confirmed his success the day after winning the sprint.

Dauphinois Camille Grataloup-Manissolle (18/20) is fourth, just a whisker away from third place, while Théo Guiraud-Poillot (17/20), who has already qualified for the IBU Cup, Mathieu Garcia (16/20), Judicaël Perrillat-Bottonet (17/20), Corentin Jacob (16/20), Rémi Broutier (15/20) and Flavio Guy (15/20) make up the top 10.

Antonin Guy came twelfth (18/20), Martin Botet sixteenth (18/20),Antonin Delsol seventeenth (13/20),Axel Garnier eighteenth (16/20), Guillaume Poirot nineteenth (13/20),Edgar Geny twentieth (12/20) and Lionel Jouannaud twenty-third (14/20).
