Biathlon: change of course outside the VELTINS-Arena
This Wednesday evening, the organisers of the Biathlon auf Schalke announced in a press release that the outdoor course at the VELTINS-Arena in Gelsenkirchen (Germany) had been modified.
For the next edition of the World Team Challenge, scheduled for 28 December, there will be a 1.4km track to cover between the various passages through the shooting range.

“The track passes through Tunnel 1 to the outside. There, a steep climb leads to the north plateau, the ideal place for spectacular overtaking. Immediately afterwards, the athletes have to master a rapid descent and a 180-degree turn before passing through Tunnel 2 to return to the stadium, which is spectacularly illuminated, for the emotional climax of the race: the entrance to the VELTINS-Arena, greeted by the cheers of some 40,000 fans”, it explains.
