10:42. In a post published on her Instagram account on Wednesday evening, Canadian biathlete Anna Marino announced the end of her career. Aged 20, she took part in the World Youth Championships in 2022 and 2023 and then the World Junior Championships in 2024.
She was also at the start of a number of stages in the Junior Cup, and also wore her race number on some of the rounds of the French Cup in the winter of 2023/2024. “It’s time to say goodbye, she wrote in her publication. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything! From family, friends, coaches and sponsors, the last eleven years would never have been the same without you.”
Several biathletes congratulated Anna Marino on her career below the publication. They include Germany’s Julia Kink, France’s Fany Bertrand, Italy’s Birgit Schoelzhorn and Linda Zingerle and Slovenia’s Lena Repinc.
