Biathlon: Logan Pletz and Nadia Moser win in Canmore
After a one-day break, the Canadian biathlon trials in Canmore (Canada) continued on Friday. Once again, the North American biathletes competed in sprints, this time with a shot contested in the same way as the relays, with three pickaxe balls available.
In the men’s race, which got underway first at around 10 a.m. local time on the Alberta snowfarm, victory went to Logan Pletz. In a time of 20 min 48 sec 3, he won by just 9 sec 6 ahead of Adam Runnalls, with Jasper Fleming completing the podium at 24 sec 0.

Matthew Strum, Zachary Connelly, Luke Hulshof, Haldan Borglum, Liam Tinworth, Malcolm McCulloch and Ryan Elden made it into today’s top 10.
Then, on the women’s side, it was Nadia Moser who won in 18 min 58 sec 5, nearly a minute ahead of her closest pursuers, Shilo Rousseau (+52 sec 0) and Emily Dickson (+53 sec 5). Further back are Pascale Paradis, Janice Grundahl, Ema Chlepkova and Benita Peiffer.
