Biathlon: victory on the Col de Porte for Mathieu Garcia
This Sunday morning, the second day of the French Biathlon Cup at the Col de Porte (Isère ) opened at the Chamechaude stadium with the men’s pursuit.
Fourth at the start, 31 seconds behind Camille Grataloup-Manissolle, the brilliant winner of the sprint, Mathieu Garcia from Dauphiné put in a great performance. With a 10/10 on his prone shots, he took the lead halfway through the race and never relinquished it.

Finally scoring a 17/20, he won this Chartres pursuit, yellow bib on his back, with a lead of almost 30 seconds over his runners-up.
Antonin Guy wins at U19 level
“It was a great race, and I’m delighted to be back up at the front. The race got off to a good start with a 10/10 in the prone shots. Despite my average form, I managed to get enough of a lead that my three standing faults kept me in the lead. I’m a bit disappointed with that, but it was enough, he told Nordic Magazine after crossing the finish line. I’ll be happy with that and I know what I need to work on to avoid making mistakes like that again.”

Lou Thiévent (18/20), the local rider, finished second just ahead of Nathanaël Peaquin (16/20). Antonin Guy (18/20), in fourth place, won the U19 event for the first time this winter.
Camille Grataloup-Manissolle (14/20) failed to hit the target and was fifth overall, but still second under 19. Damien Levet (13/20), Paul Fontaine (17/20), Flavio Guy (12/20), third U19, and Adrien Baylac (16/20) rounded out the day’s top 10.
