Biathlon | Cross-country skiing: great opposition at Holmenkollstafetten
On Saturday, the traditional Holmenkollstafetten took place on the trails of Oslo-Holmnekollen (Norway). A running competition involving relays of several runners, this year’s event attracted no fewer than 75,000 participants, with a total of 5,000 teams taking part.

Among the many brave souls were some well-known names from the world of biathlon and cross-country skiing. In the women’s race,IK Tjalve won easily for the third year running. A few minutes further on, the Raumnes & Årnes IL team also stood out, finishing eighth in the event with a team largely made up of female cross-country skiers and biathletes.
In eighth place were Johanne Hauge Harviken, Martine Lorgen, Turi Thoresen Nenseter, Martine Weng, Margrethe Bergane, Kristin Austgulen Fosnæs, Karoline Simpson-Larsen, Lotta Udnes Weng, Katrine Seim, Marte Mæhlum Johansen, Hedda Oestberg Amundsen, Andrea Udnes Weng, Tiril Eckhoff, Anne Leren and Amalie Ous. Just behind, Heidi Weng’s IL i BUL had to make do with ninth place.

On the men’s side, the Ull/Kisa team was the strongest at the end of the afternoon. To trace the first cross-country skiers, you have to go back to tenth place where the Mosvik IL of Joar Thele, Sindre Mjoemen, Even Northug, Kristoffer Liset, Ola Korboel, Karstein Johaug, Eirik Mysen, Seve De Campo, Mathias Aas Rolid, Eirik Aabrekk, Ola Berg Fines, Magnus Frohdal, Hallvard Dahle, Kasper Herland and Fredrik Johnsrud came tenth, more than 3 minutes from winning.
