On Sunday, the tenth edition of the SkyRace des Matheysins, a skyrunning race included in the world cup calendar, took place around Saint-Honoré (Isère) over a distance of 25 km… but with a positive altitude difference of 1,950 metres.
In this very difficult competition, it was former Vosges biathlete Lucille Germain who came out on top after 2 h 51 min 20 sec of effort. A cut above the rest, she won by more than 8 minutes from her nearest rival. Also of note was the fine sixth place of cross-country runner Emilie Bulle, 1 min 42 off the podium.
