Biathlon | Cross-country skiing: Maëla Correia on the podium in Livigno
At the start of November, the athletes in the Vosges Elite Ski Team are not putting their skis back on in Bessans (Savoie) or Davos (Switzerland).
The cross-country skiers and biathletes coached by Léo Ponceot and Ambroise Meunier decided to make the trip to Livigno (Italy) to touch up the snow on the Italian snowfarm, home to a certain Johannes Hoesflot Klæbo.

This weekend, the Italian resort that will host snowboard and freestyle ski events at the Milan/Cortina 2026 Olympic Games organised a series of test races. First up on Friday were the individual skate races.
In the women’s 8.4km race, biathlete Maëla Correia took a fine third place. In 24 min 7 sec 8, she was only beaten by Anna Comarella, winner, and Vanessa Cagnati, second. Juliane Jacob came tenth and Mila Ambert twelfth.
Marius Thiriat sixth in the men’s race
The men’s race was 11.2 km long. Here again, only the biathletes from the Vosges Elite Ski Team were at the start. Marius Thiriat, in a time of 27 min 37 sec 4, took a fine sixth place , just thirty seconds off the podium.

Clovis Henocq was fourteenth in this race, won by Daniel Pedranzini ahead of Federico Pozzi and Marco Pinzani. Finally, on Saturday, Veronica Silvestri and Federico Pozzi dominated the classic sprints.
