Biathlon | Cross-country skiing: Obertilliach opens its snowfarming facility
Since Thursday 7 November, it has been possible to ski in Obertilliach (Austria). While the biathletes in the Austrian national team found snow on the Livigno loop (Italy) as soon as it opened at the end of October, they have now been at home in East Tyrol for a few days.
This is because the Austrian resort has recently been able to open up a piste of around 2 kilometres using the snowfarming technique. This will allow Anna Gandler and her team-mates (Lisa Theresa Hauser was back on skis with the Swiss in Ramsau and Davos) to complete their preparations. All this before the trials scheduled on 17 and 18 November.
