Biathlon: bronze for Les Bleues on patrol
On Thursday morning, the second day of the 72nd Customs 2025 Tournament kicked off with the women’s patrol. Organised on the Lavazè pass (Italy) in pairs of a biathlete and a cross-country skier, the Italian athletes won the day.
Caterina Ganz and Dorothea Wierer (10/10) crushed the field in 25 min 50 sec 9 to win gold. Their time was 53 sec 2 faster than that of their compatriots Francesca Franchi and Linda Zingerle (9/10), who won silver. Taking bronze were France’s Mélissa Gal and Justine Braisaz-Bouchet (7/10), who had already won gold on Wednesday in the individual cross-country skiing skate.

It took the French 1 min 20 sec 4 to win the medal. Germany 1(Laura Gimmler, Selina Grotian), Germany 2(Coletta Rydzek, Lotta De Buhr), Italy 3(Veronica Silvestri, Nayeli Mariotti Cavagnet), Switzerland(Irene Cadurisch, Aita Gasparin) and Austria(Simone Kupfner, Tamara Steiner) complete the ranking. Juliette Ducordeau, paired with Germany’s Verena Veit, was ninth.
