Biathlon: Franziska Preuss will be at Hochfilzen
The day after announcing her recent Covid-19 infection on social networks, German biathlete Franziska Preuss has been included in the list of athletes selected for this weekend’s World Cup in Hochfilzen (Austria). Selina Grotian, who was also ill in Östersund (Sweden), has also been selected.
However, the final decision will not be made for another day or two,” said Felix Bitterling, head of the German biathlon, in a press release. We can’t yet say with any certainty that they will be fit enough.
The women’s team is completed by Vanessa Voigt, Janina Hettich-Walz, Julia Tannheimer, Anna Weidel and Julia Kink. The latter has come up from the IBU Cup to take Marlene Fichtner‘s place.
There has also been a change in the men’s squad, with David Zobel replacing Lucas Fratzscher. Philipp Horn, Simon Kaiser, Philipp Nawrath, Danilo Riethmueller and Justus Strelow remain in the squad.
