On Saturday, Italian star Dorothea Wierer inaugurated the personalisation of a metro station in Milan (Italy) in honour of the centenary of the Fiamme Gialle ski group, the sports department of the Italian financial police. The event brought together a number of athletes, including alpine skiers Sofia Goggia, Christof Innerhofer and Alex Vinatzer, as well as skater Pietro Sighel, to inaugurate a train with images and the centenary logo celebrating the athletes of the Fiamme Gialle ski group.

The ceremony saw Italian biathlete Dorothea Wierer as the main protagonist, as she helped, along with Alpine skiing star Sofia Goggia, to cut the ribbon, in the presence of Metro 5 CEO Serafino Lo Piano and the sports centre’s commander, Gen. Antonio Marco Appella.
In the minutes following the inauguration, space was set aside for a brief press conference to present the initiative. All these initiatives promoted by the Fiamme Gialle are aimed at promoting the forthcoming Mialan/Cortina 2026 Olympic Games.
