Biathlon: Sweden with 13 for the Pokljuka World Cup
This Tuesday morning, the Swedish Biathlon Association unveiled the list of athletes selected for the World Cup in Pokljuka (Slovenia). Elvira Oeberg, who missed the round in Nove Mesto (Czech Republic) with a cold, is back in the squad.
But it’s only a partial comeback, as she will only be taking part in Sunday’s mass-start… where the reigning world champion will be attempting to continue her fight for the small globe of the speciality. For Thursday’s individual race, Anna Magnusson, Anna-Karin Heijdenberg, Ella Halvarsson, Hanna Oeberg, Sara Andersson and Johanna Skottheim will be at the start.
There are no changes in the men’s squad, with Sebastian Samuelsson, Martin Ponsiluoma, Emil Nykvist, Jesper Nelin, Malte Stefansson and Viktor Brandt all selected.
