Biathlon: Les Bleus take silver at Altenberg
This Friday morning, the mixed relay of the 2025 European Junior Biathlon Championships took place in Altenberg (Germany). In Saxony, while the Germans were never in the medal hunt on home soil, the French put in a fine performance.
However, a few minutes before the start of the race, we learned that Anaëlle Bondoux from Grenoble, leader of the group that was supposed to finish the race behind Camille Grataloup-Manissolle, Antonin Delsol and Lola Bugeaud, had withdrawn. In the end, Louise Roguet took her place at short notice as the last relay runner.

Launched into third place less than a minute from the lead occupied by Italy (Davide Compagnoni, Felix Ratschiller, Fabiana Carpella, Sara Scattolo) and Poland (Jakub Potoniec, Grzegorz Galica, Anna Nedza-Kubiniec, Barbara Skrobiszewska), she was unable to fight for the title, which was won by the Poles. However, with a single pick and after Scattolo ‘s crack, the Montblanc native was able to take over and overtake Italy to give the French team silver.

Ukraine, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Austria, Finland, Germany and Sweden complete the day’s top 10, ahead of Switzerland, Slovakia, Romania and Kazakhstan.
