Biathlon: tachycardia for Océane Michelon
At midday on Sunday, during the women’s biathlon World Cup relay in Antholz (Italy), Océane Michelon was the third Frenchwoman in the running. Following in the footsteps of Jeanne Richard and Lou Jeanmonnot, she produced a solid shooting performance, even coming out on top in the standing section.
But it wasn ‘t she who handed over to the last relay riders first. Struggling in the final kilometre, she dropped to third place 25 seconds from the front. Océane Michelon even had to be looked after by the medical staff for a few minutes, after being marked by her attack on Julia Simon.

“She gets tachycardia when she’s under a lot of stress and in particular conditions, and that was the case,” Lou Jeanmonnot told La Chaîne L’Equipe in the mixed zone.
“I’ll have my revenge!”
At the end of the race, the Savoyard rider was present in the finish area for the photos and the official podium. With a smile on her face. ” It’s hard for me personally and it’s really annoying for the team,” she told Ski Chrono.

At the end of the evening, on her Instagram account, Océane Michelon finally posted a story to reassure her fans: “Everything’s fine on my side, the rest has come just at the right time to recharge the batteries and come back in great shape for the world championships. Don’t worry, it’s only a postponement,” she wrote. I’ll get my revenge!
