Biathlon: Ten Austrians for the Nove Mesto World Cup
For several weeks, there had been uncertainty as to whether Austria’s Anna Gandler would be able to take part in this week’ s Biathlon World Cup in Nove Mesto (Czech Republic).
Forced to leave Lenzerheide (Switzerland) at the end of the first week of the Worlds due to severe flu, she even had to go to hospital to regain her strength. In the end, she was able to resume training on time and is included in the squad announced by Ski Austria on Tuesday. Lisa Theresa Hauser, Anna Juppe, Lea Rothschopf and Tamara Steiner have also been selected.
On the men’s side, Felix Leitner is back. Absent from the world championships due to illness, the Austrian will be making his return to competition in the Czech Republic alongside Simon Eder, Patrick Jakob, David Komatz and Fredrik Muehlbacher.
