Biathlon: Camille Bened’s three out of three, Amandine Mengin and Gilonne Guigonnat should go to the World Cup with her
Following on from the men’s sprint won by Damien Levet, on Tuesday morning the women rounded off the FFS biathlon selection week in Bessans (Savoie) with the same format.
As has been the case since the start of hostilities, the stakes were high between the places up for grabs in the World Cup and the IBU Cup. The first of the qualifiers for the most prestigious of circuits in the weekend’s two races, Camille Bened from Haut-Savoie, was once again at the forefront.

With a score of 9/10, the biathlete from Chablais Nordic quite simply dominated this sprint and is therefore ideally prepared before setting off next week for the World Cup.

With a time of 19 min 54 sec 6, she was 23 sec 0 ahead of Amandine Mengin (10/10), who undoubtedly put in a performance that should also take her to Östersund (Sweden).
Célia Henaff still ahead in the race for the IBU Cup
Lou Jeanmonnot (8/10), back from illness, is third at 30 sec 2 a breath ahead of Paula Botet (8/10) and Gilonne Guigonnat (8/10). The battle for the last place in the World Cup is likely to come down to the two of them, with a slight advantage for the Montblanc rider.

Célia Hénaff (9/10), the first of the IBU Cup qualifiers, follows in sixth place. Lou-Anne Dupont Ballet-Baz (9/10), Voldiya Galmace-Paulin (9/10), Maëla Correia (10/10) and Louise Roguet (8/10) rounded off the day’s top 10.

Further back, we find Fany Bertrand (7/10), who should still go on to the IBU Cup thanks to her weekend results, in eleventh place, Camille Coupé (6/10) in twelfth, Sophie Chauveau (7/10) in thirteenth, Léonie Jeannier (6/10) in fifteenth and Lisa Siberchicot (7/10) in sixteenth.
