Biathlon: Sweden changes its line-up for the Grand-Bornand World Cup
This Tuesday morning, theSwedish Biathlon Association revealed the names of the athletes selected for this week’s World Cup in Le Grand-Bornand (Haute-Savoie).
There have been a number of changes. Firstly, Linn Gestblom, back this season after a long absence due to a shoulder injury, returns home, as does Viktor Brandt, who is ill.
Oscar Andersson was called up to the World Cup for the first time in his career, while Henning Sjoekvist made his comeback, replacing Melker Nordgren. Jesper Nelin, Martin Ponsiluoma, Sebastian Samuelsson and Malte Stefansson are also selected.
In the women’s category, Anna-Karin Heijdenberg, who has been performing well in the IBU Cup at the start of this winter, has moved up a notch. Yellow number Anna Magnusson, Ella Halvarsson, Elvira Oeberg, Hanna Oeberg and Sara Andersson complete the group.
