Biathlon: what Lou Jeanmonnot has to say
On Wednesday evening, after a day spent on the slopes of Saint-Gervais (Haute-Savoie) for the Challenge des chefs étoilés, Lou Jeanmonnot was in Annecy (Haute-Savoie) to take part in the Chronos d’Or ceremony.
Winner of two trophies, the women’s biathlon trophy and the champion of champions trophy, she took the opportunity to reflect on the painful episode of losing the race for the big globe following a fall in the final of the mass start in Oslo-Holmenkollen (Norway) on 23 March.

“Mentally, I need to be left in peace, she explained with a smile to our Ski Chrono colleagues, partners in the event. For the last fortnight, there hasn’t been a single day when I haven’t been talked about my crash in Oslo, so I can’t wait for it to stop.”
“When people move on, it will help me too”.
Afterwards, Lou Jeanmonnot, who was celebrated late on Thursday in her home town of Hôpitaux-Vieux (Doubs) by her clubOlympic Mont d’Or, admitted that she still had “thoughts and memories of the last race” in her head.
“When I’ve had a holiday, I’ll have the necessary hindsight to appreciate all the good things that have been done this season. Today, I still find it hard to open social networks. I still don’t have a neutral point of view”, she added.

It has to be said that for the Haut-Doubiste, it’ s still difficult to get past this final event of the season. “Even if I’m OK with it, there are still ten or so people a day to remind me. When people move on, it will help me too,” says Lou Jeanmonnot.
