Biathlon: Antonin Guigonnat, a victory at La Féclaz
On a sunny Saturday afternoon in La Féclaz (Savoie), the men’s pursuit rounded off the sixth stage of the 2024/2025 French Biathlon Cup. In the absence of the French stars who had dominated Saturday’s sprint, it was Damien Levet who took the lead, 3 seconds ahead of Mathieu Garcia and 4 ahead of Antonin Guigonnat.

A substitute for the World Championships in Lenzerheide (Switzerland), he followed up with this national pursuit, as he had decided to stay in France with his partner, who was about to give birth to their first child. He took full advantage of this to dominate the pursuit. With 18/20, Antonin Guigonnat won solo, more than a minute ahead of Damien Levet (15/20).

Savoyard Corentin Jacob (16/20), first U22, completed the day’s podium, just ahead of Léo Carlier (18/20), U19 winner, Mathieu Garcia (15/20) and Guillaume Poirot (18/20). Lionel Jouannaud (18/20), Ilann Dupont (16/20), Alexis Colomban (16/20) and Antonin Delsol (13/20) rounded out the top 10 overall.
Sixteenth in the rankings, Doubiste’s Flavio Guy (13/20) finished second in the under-19 category, while Tom Bouillet (18/20) took third place.
