Biathlon: Fany Bertrand wins again in the World Cup
Since her return to the national circuit at the start of January, Savoie biathlete Fany Bertrand has been winning a lot. Winner in Prémanon (Jura) and Méribel (Savoie) in January, she won again this Saturday in the sprint of the French Cup in Autrans (Isère).
On the vertacomicorian tracks, she scored 9/10, missing a ball on the downhill, and managed to win by 2 sec 6 ahead of Namou Candau-Armand (9/10). After coming out of the standing with a 7 sec 1 lead over her compatriot, Candau-Armand made up time in the final lap… but was unable to take the overall victory. Nevertheless, she won her U21 category.
Third overall at 18 sec 7, Thémice Fontaine (10/10) was second U21 on the day, while Lou-Anne Dupont Ballet-Baz (8/10), next in the rankings, completed the podium in this category.
The day’s top 10 also included Violette Bony (8/10), Lola Bugeaud (8/10), Lisa Siberchicot (8/10), Maëla Correia (8/10), Léonie Jeannier (6/10) and Léna Moretti (8/10). Louise Roguet (6/10) is eleventh, Coralie Perrin (7/10) twelfth, Lisa Cart-Lamy (8/10) thirteenth and Eva Laine (5/10) eighteenth.
Adèle Ouvrier-Buffet crushes the U19 race
In the U19s, victory went to Montblanc’s Adèle Ouvrier-Buffet. With a 10/10, she even crushed the race, with Thaïs Royet (9/10) second at 45 sec 0 and Joanne Weiss (9/10) third at 1 min 3 sec 9.
Juliette Oliva (6/10), Ninon Duvillard (9/10), Zabou Mellouet Achard (9/10), Romane Ouvrier-Buffet (8/10), Matilda Dodos (7/10), Cassandre Couder (9/10) and Rosalie Odile (7/10) then entered the morning’s top 10.
