Biathlon: the U17 sprints at the Autrans French Cup have delivered their verdict
After the U19/U21/Seniors races in the first part of the day, Saturday afternoon was reserved for the U17 sprints at the French Biathlon Cup in Autrans (Isère).
First of all, in the women’s race, Canelle Midez (8/10) from the Franc-Comtois region won. Exiled to Savoie since last spring, she beat Axelle Bouvard (9/10) by 12.6 seconds and Zélie Pic (8/10) by 13.0 seconds.
At the foot of the podium were Aurem Pages De Amorim (9/10), Jeanne Bouvier (7/10) and Charlotte Marcelat (8/10). Laure Michaud (9/10), Léonie Chateigner-Letinois (6/10), Louane Adam (7/10) and Pauline Lafoux (7/10) also made the top 10.

On the men’s side, the suspense was immense as Pyrenean rider Raphaël Kergoat (7/10) won by… a tenth of a second ahead of Dauphin’s Martin Minazzi (9/10), overall leader in the French Cup. Samuel Tuttino (8/10) was third.
Next in the top ten were Jules Vidaud (7/10), Jules Lafoux (7/10), Martin Seigneur (7/10), Maël Bernole (8/10), Yann Roguet (4/10), Alexis Fine (8/10) and Valentin Buirey (7/10).
