Biathlon: Lionel Jouannaud triumphs in the individual short at 18/20
The second day of the French Biathlon Cup in Bessans (Savoie) kicked off in the morning with an individual men’s short race over 12.5km (35-second penalty for a shooting error). Chamonix’s Lionel Jouannaud, a member of the French Excellence 2030 team , scored 18/20 to take victory, 40 sec 0 ahead of Rémi Broutier (18/20) and 41 sec 4 ahead of Mathieu Garcia (17/20), the new leader of the U22/Seniors French Cup.

Paul Fontaine (19/20), Lou Thiévent (19/20), Valentin Lejeune (17/20), Nathanaël Peaquin (16/20), Ian Martinet (17/20), Ambroise Meunier (16/20) and Antonin Delsol (16/20) made the top 10. Twelfth-placed Camille Grataloup-Manissolle (17/20) won the U19 category, beating Benjamin De Grimaudet De Rochebouet (17/20) and Clément Pirès (17/20) by around ten seconds.

Last but not least, Jacques Jefferies was eighteenth (15/20), Guillaume Poirot nineteenth (16/20) and Mathieu Perrillat-Bottonet twentieth (14/20), winner of Saturday’s sprint.
