Biathlon: Augustin Remonnay and Thaïs Royet win, as they did in Prémanon last weekend
The U17 athletes brought the first day of the French Biathlon Cup in Contamines-Montjoie (Haute-Savoie) to a close on Friday afternoon.
In the short sprint, Thaïs Royet (10/10) first dominated the women’s short sprint. With no shooting errors, she emerged from the standing start 4.5 seconds behind Lili Fehr (10/10). She made up the deficit in the final kilometres to win by 9.4 seconds.

Doubiste Rose Marguet (9/10) completed the podium at 25 sec 8 ahead of Rose Dusserre (9/10), Adèle Ouvrier-Buffet (7/10) and Elia Courtieu (9/10).

In the boys’ race, the Franc-Comtois Augustin Remonnay (9/10) dominated proceedings, winning by a margin of 26.4 seconds over Martin Minazzi (9/10) and 27.6 seconds over Nicolas Colomban (6/10). Lilian Kembellec (9/10), Quentin Caviglia (7/10) and Timéo Amiotte (7/10) followed in the top 6.
