Biathlon: Coralie Langel wins solo in Prémanon
On Sunday morning, the second day of the French Biathlon Cup in Prémanon (Jura) kick ed off with the women’s mass-start for U22s and seniors. Without those selected for the World Junior Championships in Östersund (Sweden), who were travelling to Sweden that day, only seventeen biathletes were at the start.
Against this backdrop, it was the Haut-Savoyard Lou-Anne Dupont Ballet-Baz who got off to the best possible start. With a score of 15/15, she was even on mat n°1 for the last shot. Missing twice, La Cluse let victory slip away and it was Doubiste’s Coralie Langel (19/20) who took advantage.

On the Tuffes stadium, where she recently completed the Swiss Cup double, the Franc-Comtoise won solo, 22.4 seconds ahead of Noémie Remonnay (16/20), winner of Saturday’s sprint. Le Massif jurassien even made it a hat-trick, with Léonie Jeannier (16/20), wearing the yellow bib, third at 1 min 2 sec 3.

On the podium after the final shot, Lou-Anne Dupont Ballet-Baz (18/20) had to make do with fourth place. Thémice Fontaine (16/20), Ludmilla Roche (20/20), Maëla Correia (16/20), Anna Blanc (16/20), Lisa Siberchicot (14/20) and Eva Laine (13/20) made it into the top 10.
