Biathlon: Doubiste Coralie Langel’s big race
Franc-Comtoise Coralie Langel‘s start to the season didn’t go as planned. She was involved in a traffic accident on her way to the Bessans (Savoie) selection trials in November, and was unable to defend her chances to the full.
After finishing third, twelfth and twice sixth in the first four rounds of the French Cup in December, she has a big chance this weekend in Prémanon (Jura) , where two IBU Cup tickets are at stake. Wearing number 5 on Saturday lunchtime, she was certainly up to the task, shooting 9/10. This performance, coupled with her good skiing time, enabled her to dominate the race.

Coralie Langel, of the Oye-et-Pallet ski club (Doubs), has taken a major step towards selection for the IBU Cup with this masterly success , ahead of Sunday’s Mass-Start 60.
Amandine Mengin and Louise Roguet on the podium
On the day’s podium, she was joined by Vosgienne Amandine Mengin (7/10), second at 50 sec 1, and Haut-Savoyard Louise Roguet (8/10), winner in the U19 category and third overall at 1 min 8 sec 4.

Lisa Siberchicot (7/10), Fany Bertrand (6/10), Pauline Machut (8/10), Anaëlle Bondoux (4/10), Coralie Perrin (7/10), second U19, Namou Candau-Armand (7/10), third U19, and Maëla Correia (8/10) all made the top 10.

Difficult races, however, for Violette Bony (5/10), seventeenth, Lola Bugeaud (6/10), eighteenth, Célia Henaff (5/10), twenty-first, Noémie Remonnay (5/10), twenty-third, Léonie Jeannier (3/10), twenty-fourth, and Lou-Anne Dupont Ballet-Baz (4/10), thirtieth.
