Biathlon: Lou Jeanmonnot and Quentin Fillon-Maillet, a sprint in Prémanon to prepare for Oberhof
This weekend, the third leg of the French Biathlon Cup in Prémanon (Jura ) will welcome some fine athletes. With just a few days to go to the World Cup in Oberhof (Germany), it has to be said that the French team staff gave the athletes the chance to make the trip to the Haut-Jura.
With one goal: to transform the intensity achieved solo at home into a biathlon race on one of the events on the national circuit. As Nordic Magazine found out from coaches Simon Fourcade and Cyril Burdet, there will be two of them lining up at the Tuffes stadium.

First of all, Doubiste rider Lou Jeanmonnot will don his bib again this Saturday in the first sprint of the weekend, while Quentin Fillon-Maillet will be racing on Sunday, also in a sprint. The Grandvallier rider had already adopted this strategy a year ago, when he won the mass-start 60 of the pre-manonière French Cup.
The rest of the group won’t be going up [to the Jura], and doing the road, but producing their own intensity,” explains Simon Fourcade. As for Quentin [Fillon-Maillet], he’s there, so it’s not a big deal. There isn’t necessarily a performance objective for this weekend.
