Biathlon: Mathieu Garcia and Léonie Jeannier in yellow
Last weekend,the second leg of the French Biathlon Cup took place in Les Saisies, Savoie. After this sprint/chase sequence, the overall rankings were changed. Nordic Magazine takes stock.
In the U22/Seniors category, the women’s yellow bib went to Doubiste’s Léonie Jeannier. After a magnificent double, she now has 362 points, comfortably ahead of Camille Coupé (297) and Lisa Siberchicot (233). Former leader Amandine Mengin (230), who has been held back over the last few days in the Junior Cup, has now been dropped.
On the men’s side, Mathieu Garcia, already in yellow after the first stage, maintains his lead with 371 points. Rémi Broutier (316) is the only rider who can compete at the moment, followed by Valentin Lejeune (264) and Mathieu Perrillat-Bottonet (208).
Juliette Oliva and Camille Grataloup-Manissolle lead the U19s
In the U19s, it’s a tight race with Juliette Oliva (222) wearing the red bib, closely followed by Louise Roguet (217), Alice Dusserre (208) and Romane Ouvrier-Buffet (206).
The men’s ranking was dominated by Camille Grataloup-Manissolle (282). A regular competitor, he easily beat Noé Seigneur (238), Antonin Guy (202), Clément Pirès (283) and Jérémie Bouchex-Bellomié (176).
Shared bibs in the Under 17s
In the Under 17s, who launched their season at the 1992 Olympic resort, four girls shared the same number of points (140): Rose Dusserre, Ninon Duvillard, Clémence Lepouriel and Canelle Midez. With a victory and a fifth place each, only the last two mentioned are wearing the red and white bib. Jeanne Dautheville follows with 110.
Leadership is also shared in the men’s ranking, with Niels Bibollet and Nicolas Coloman on 165 points each. Augustin Remonnay (130), Sacha Mazzilli-Riaboff (105) and Robinson Goleret (100) are trying to keep pace.
