Biathlon: Anamarija Lampic’s nightmare in Finland
There are days when you’d rather stay in bed. And that’s undoubtedly what was going throughAnamarija Lampic ‘s mind on Wednesday in the individual short race at the Biathlon World Cup in Kontiolahti (Finland). Ninety-second when she crossed the line, the Slovenian went through a real ordeal.

With a very disappointing 10/20 on the shooting range, the 29-year-old former cross-country skier never found the keys to a brighter future: “I’m satisfied with my ski race, but I couldn’t do anything about the shooting. In the first two runs, my fingers were frozen so I couldn’t shoot,” she told Siol.net.
And just when she thought she was leaving the mats with these problems behind her, the biathlete had to deal with a problem with her rifle when she arrived for her third salvo. “I’ve had so many problems and it’s better not to explain them in detail,” she confides, a little annoyed. I’d rather forget about this race right now and concentrate on Saturday’s sprint.”

Anamarija Lampic still managed to finish despite making ten mistakes behind the rifle. Second fastest skier in the race , almost 25 seconds behind Sweden’s Elvira Oeberg, the Slovenian nonetheless reassured herself of her level on the boards before the rest of the individual events scheduled throughout the weekend.
