Biathlon: the names of the six Germans selected for the opening round of the World Cup
On Monday morning, theGerman Ski Association (DSV) announced its men’s squad for the Biathlon World Cup in Östersund (Sweden), the first stage of the Olympic season starting on 29 November.
Pre-qualified before the selection races in Idre Fjäll (Sweden), Justus Strelow and Philipp Nawrath lead the team. Lucas Fratzscher and Simon Kaiser won their places in the Swedish competitions, while Philipp Horn and Danilo Riethmueller complete the list by choice of the coaches.
As a result, a number of riders have been left out, starting with David Zobel and Johannes Kuehn, who finished on the podium in Sunday’s sprint. Roman Rees and Leonhard Pfund are also sidelined for the start of the winter season.

- 16:00: women’s 7.5 km sprint

- 4.30pm: Men’s 10 km sprint

- 1.15pm: Women’s 10 km pursuit
